Integrated health care
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina facilitates integrated physical and behavioral health services as a vital part of health care. Our mission is to address the physical and behavioral health care of Healthy Blue members by offering a wide range of targeted interventions, education and enhanced access to care to ensure improved outcomes and quality of life for members. We work collaboratively with hospitals, group practices, independent behavioral health care providers, community, government agencies, local health departments and other resources. This enables us to successfully meet the needs of Healthy Blue members with mental health and substance use disorders as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Advance Medical Home (AMH) is the major integrated model for NC.
